PGA Pro does have access to private lessons?
I heard that the PGA pros (those who work in golf clubs and pass this OCAL test playing PAT) have access to almost any course they want to play regardless of membership status. Is this true? The reason I ask because I desperately want to play Winged Foot and Shinnecock Hills, but I know of no member of the golf course. I am close to single digit golfer becoming a scratch golfer and I wonder if I'm playing the race to become a PGA pro, will I be able to play these courses and others are private? Thank you for any advice.
Most professional club playing private courses in a matter of courtesy in the ranks of the PGA. The majority of club pros in New England have shortened seasons and are more likely to be involved with their members. This involves the development of next Monday with three members in the Pro-Am event of the week. Then there are events scheduled all of the PGA pro who leads them to different course. Includes national qualification events for the club pro championship and the U.S. Open. Again, on May boil to all those who know you. Do not consider becoming a pro only with rights of entry.
